Happy Birthday Kyle/ Party Oyster Crackers

Well Kyle today’s your birthday. I know you’re in a better place, but that makes today bittersweet. You would have been 24. I can just hear you busting through the door yelling “IT’S MY BIRTHDAY PEEPS! BRING ON THE PARTY” and then your mom would exclaim ” Really Kyle! We’re right here must you be so loud!”. I thought perhaps I’d make you a cake since they are my specialty. However, upon second thought, I knew should make your favorite oyster crackers. For the last four of your birthdays and just about every holiday in-between I have made you a double batch of these.

Every year after you turned 21 it was accompanied by a 12 pack of beer. Although I will still agree to disagree on our argument on Bud vs Miller.

I even caught myself making the whole double batch today and divinding it into two separate bags…( so you wouldn’t eat them all at once). I guess this is supposed to get easier, but today is not easy at all. Your brother and I miss you a ton. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and love you showed us while you were here. I hope you are up there fishing and hunting and partying! So from all of us down here… Happy Birthday Kyle…we miss you and love you!
